WHAT IS A SERUM & SHOULD I BE USING ONE?

Now that your skin has been properly cleansed and exfoliated, it is ready to receive its nutrition. A serum provides the greatest concentration of product in a gel or light oil consistency. My go-to serum is the Repair Serum from the Ann Marie Skincare line. This serum is loaded with skin conditioners and antioxidants. The Repair Serum’s carrier oil is the jojoba oil. Jojoba Oil, the closest oil to our facial pore size, allows for deeper penetration of products.

The Repair Serum is loaded with:

  • Alma Berry: a high content of Vitamin C that helps prevent and repair oxidative damage

  • Hyaluronic Acid: capsulates water at the surface of the skin to give it a plumping effect

  • Licorice Root: known for its skin lightening properties

  • Aspen Bark: a natural preservative with conditioning properties

A serum can typically be used morning and evening. A small pea size is all you’ll need. Serums usually glide on nice and smooth and absorb immediately. Once fully absorbed, follow with the appropriate moisturizer and SPF.

Benefits of the Repair Serum:

  • Regenerates, repairs and brightens

  • Plumps dull or sluggish skin

  • Helps fade discolorations

  • Evens out skin tone over time with consistent use
