The most universal type of massage, Swedish massage combines various hands-on techniques including gliding, kneading, and cross-fiber friction to break up muscle knots, called adhesions. Swedish massage is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology as opposed to energy work. It can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing, depending on the needs and/or desire of the client. Clients benefit from a calming of the nervous system, reduced tension & anxiety and improved blood circulation.

You will never be just another body part or problem to 'fix'." Kim believes your trust is a privilege not to be taken lightly.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

While similar to the Swedish massage, a Deep Tissue massage provides the deeper pressure clients find beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia resulting in decreased blood pressure, reduced stress hormone levels and heart rate while mood and relaxation is boosted by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
INTRO PRICE 60 min Member/Non-Member: $60*
60 min Member: $76 | 60 min Non-Member: $95
90 min Member: $115 | 90 min Non-Member: $142
This form of massage focuses on “trigger points” or tight areas within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body, whether the pain be sharp and intense, or dull and aching. Specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain, trigger point massage therapy is conducted through cycles of isolated pressure and release. Effective trigger point massage results in releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis has been effective in naturally managing pain and stress from chronic injuries.

SPORTS THERAPY MASSAGE
INTRO PRICE 60 min Member/Non-Member: $60*
60 min Member: $76 | 60 min Non-Member: $95
90 min Member: $115 | 90 min Non-Member: $142
For clients participating in regular physical activity, Sports massage therapy on a regular basis is an excellent addition to a typical regimen. In comparison to other modalities, Sports massage therapy offers the key advantage of targeting muscle-tendon junctions resulting in decreased muscle soreness. Sports massage techniques are specific to the athlete's sport of choice and focus on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Sports massage therapy can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event.
